Pricing and specs revealed for all-electric Renault Master Z.E.
Fleets can now order the Renault Master Z.E. all-electric LCV, which combines zero-emission running with the capabilities of a large LCV to bring a number of benefits to last-mile operators.
Priced from £45,700 excluding VAT (after the Government’s Plug-in Vehicle Grant), the Master Z.E. is available with a choice of three wheelbase lengths and two roof heights as well as a range of conversions – including Luton body conversions, refrigerated units and parcel delivery conversions – through the Renault Pro+ Business Centre network. It also offers a payload of up to 1,128kg.
Launching as a number of cities gear up to introduce clean air zones, the Master Z.E. uses the second-generation lithium-ion 33kWh battery from the latest Kangoo Z.E. 33 married up with a 76bhp electric motor taken from the Zoe electric car. Renault claims a “real-life” driving range of around 74 miles with a half payload.
A full charge takes six hours and the battery comes with a five-year/60,000-mile battery warranty while the vehicle itself gets a three-year/100,000-mile warranty. The Master Z.E. also features a side Z.E. charging socket, pre-heating function, and Z.E. voice – a specific sound that the vehicle makes at low speeds to help alert pedestrians to its presence.
All models come in the Business specification seen in the standard Master range and including electric front windows and mirrors, DAB radio, Bluetooth, CD player, USB, full steel bulkhead, ESC, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Swing Assist.
Fleets can also opt for a charging cable suitable for a domestic three-pin plug and a three-year renewal subscription to My Z.E Connect, which when combined with the R-Link media system, enables drivers or operators to see the vehicle’s range via smartphone or desktop.
