Vauxhall has opened orders for the new 2025 Astra Griffin grade with enhanced specification.

Already seen in the petrol and electric line-ups, the new grade is also now available with the hybrid model and becomes the new entry point to the Astra across both hatchback and Sports Tourer body styles.
As the replacement to the outgoing Design trim, the new entry-level Griffin delivers extra value.
Prices now start from £26,090 for the new Astra Griffin petrol hatch with the 1.2 130hp six-speed manual, up from £24,795 last year but shaving £2,775 off the price of the outgoing Astra Design model. The same powertrain can be specified as the Sports Tourer for £28,890.
The Astra Electric Griffin with 54kWh battery and a 156hp electric motor now starts from £35,005 for the hatch and £36,205 for the Sports Tourer, while the Astra Hybrid Griffin is £28,540 as the hatch and £30,390 in Sports Tourer form.
Exterior updates include a contrasting black roof and tinted rear windows, while petrol variants come with 17-inch black diamond-cut alloy wheels instead of the silver 16-inch alloys previously found on the Design trim. Electric versions are shod with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Inside, the Astra Griffin adds in heated front seats, heated leather steering wheel and wireless smartphone charging compared to the Design models. Petrol variants benefit from a central console with armrest for improved everyday practicality. An electrochromic frameless rear-view mirror is also included, along with keyless start and a rear-view 180-degree camera.
Vauxhall’s Pure Panel infotainment system is standard on the Astra Griffin, comprising a 10-inch colour touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster.
As with all electric Vauxhall models, the Astra Electric Griffin is available with the brand’s Electric All In package. This includes eight years of roadside assistance, including emergency charging support, as well as £500 credit which can be used towards an Ohme home wallbox installation, Tesco or Octopus Electroverse charging credit. Customers switching to the Intelligent Octopus GO energy tariff will also receive the equivalent of 10,000 miles of free home charging.
