Volkswagen ID.4 joins Europcar fleet to boost EV options

Europcar has expanded its sustainable rental fleet with the addition of the all-electric Volkswagen ID.4 SUV.

Europcar has added the popular VW ID.4 to its electric fleet and Flex Model Choice programme

This latest addition offers customers a long-range, practical, spacious EV option for both business and leisure travel.

The spacious family SUV boasts an excellent Euro NCAP safety score and delivers a good WLTP range of between 222 and 351 miles, depending on the battery size.

Renting the ID.4 from Europcar provides drivers new to EVs with a commitment-free way to experience electric driving. It also provides fleet managers with a reliable option for commitment-free and sustainable mobility, enabling compliance with Scope 3 emissions requirements.

The ID.4 is also available via Europcar’s recently launched Flex Model Choice solution, which gives businesses the flexibility of rental and the vehicle model certainty of leasing.

Under Flex Model Choice, specific makes and models from Europcar’s BEV and PHEV fleet, including the VW ID.4, can be booked for rental for a minimum of three months and up to 12 months at a fixed monthly rate. This enables employers to accurately allocate vehicles and forecast Benefit-in-Kind tax expenses.

By adding the popular ID.4 to its electric fleet and Flex Model Choice programme, Europcar enables businesses and drivers to select their exact vehicle model, according to sustainability spokesperson Tom Middleditch.

“Designed to meet the needs of every journey, our growing portfolio of low- and zero-tailpipe emissions vehicles is providing private motorists and businesses with access to sustainable mobility without having to make a long-term commitment. And we believe that’s critical as financial pressures continue to challenge personal and business budgets.”
