The EV Driver by Wex platform is now integrated with the Tesla Supercharger network in Europe, giving drivers access to over 20,000 fast-charging points across 1,500+ locations.

The move means EV drivers of any car brand using the EV Driver by Wex app can now charge at one of Europe’s largest and most reliable charging networks, which was voted the best ‘Large’ sized network by drivers in this year’s Zapmap rankings.

Customers already use the EV Driver by Wex app to charge at over one million charging points throughout Europe and can now access Tesla Superchargers via the same platform: enabling them to compare real-time pricing across all networks, plan optimal routes, track sessions and manage payments in a single platform – regardless of the charging network they choose.

The integration significantly expands charging options for Wex customers, particularly in areas where high-power charging has been limited or expensive. By bringing Tesla Superchargers into its ecosystem, Wex gives drivers access to competitively priced fast charging with speeds up to 250kW, increasing availability of high-power charging stations by 10%.

Non-Tesla drivers can also use the network of ultra-rapid Superchargers; the EV giant first opened up its network in 2021 and some 70% of the network in Europe is now available to non-Tesla cars.

Wex customers have two options to access Tesla Superchargers. Using the EV Driver by Wex platform, drivers select a Tesla Supercharger location and compare pricing with nearby alternatives. After selecting a connector, drivers start a charging session from the app.

Drivers can also use the Tesla app, then add their Wex EV charge card as a payment method in the Tesla app and start a charging session there. Payments and billing remain in one place and are processed by Wex. Tesla drivers also benefit from plug-and-charge functionality.
