Chinese EV maker Xpeng has set out its 2026 product ambitions for the UK with a commitment to delivering advanced, intelligent EVs to British drivers.

The company, founded in 2014, launched in the UK early 2025 after signing a distribution deal with International Motors Ltd, which already works with Isuzu, Subaru and GWM, and is also bringing Mitsubishi back to the UK.
First to arrive was the G6 fully electric SUV-coupé; a Tesla Model Y rival that’s already been updated just months after it launched. Available from £39,990 for the RWD Standard Range and £44,990 for the Long Range, it brings highlights that include up to 354 miles of range and 800V supercharging capability.
The G6 also gains a dual-motor AWD Performance Black Edition, priced from £49,990, and outputting 487hp and 660Nm of torque. This enables an acceleration from 0-62mph in 4.13 seconds.
The latest version, which arrives this quarter, also benefits from more than 20,000 incremental engineering refinements, reducing the time for a 10 to 80% charge to about 12 minutes and increasing real-world usability while also refining the G6 for European roads and driving conditions.
This will be followed by the introduction of the Xpeng X9, arriving mid-year as a seven-seat flagship luxury product, aimed at families and businesses “seeking intelligent, all-electric long-range capability in a versatile but dynamic model”.

Based on Xpeng’s 800V SEPA2.0 architecture and featuring a futuristic, “starship-inspired” design concept, the X9 focuses on comfort, luxury, space and real-world usability.
Further new models are in the pipeline as the brand pushes ahead with an expanded line-up of new-generation smart electric vehicles across multiple segments, “designed to combine cutting-edge technology, performance, captivating design and real-world accessibility”.
Jonny Miller, Xpeng UK sales director, said: “The coming year represents a defining moment in Xpeng’s global and European expansion and product strategy.
“We are committed to expanding consumer choice in the UK with vehicles that deliver not only world-class electric performance, but also industry-leading smart functionality, technology, design and real-world usability.”
Xpeng UK is also growing its dealer network with key appointments in major cities.
Miller elaborated: “We will continue to grow our retailer network in 2026. However, this will be done strategically, focusing on locations convenient for our future customers. Therefore, we are specifically looking to appoint retailers in larger cities such as London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh.”
