Zest has completed the deployment of 142 charging spaces across 14 locations at the University of Warwick, marking one of the largest university charging networks in the UK.

The rollout is part of a £1.3m investment by Zest that will see the charge point operator provide and manage charging facilities at the university over the next 15 years.

The facilities, which span both fast and rapid EV chargers, are projected to save more than 15,000 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to 69 million miles driven in a petrol car.

The University of Warwick is recognised for its excellence in transport and future mobility research, and works closely with major industry and government to advance green, clean modes of transport, and trial real-world solutions on campus.

George Saxon, head of transport systems & operations at the university, said: “The new charging network supports our ambitions to cut carbon emissions, while giving staff, students, and visitors the confidence to choose electric vehicles as part of a cleaner future.”
