Citroën ë-C4

As with the standard model, the ë-C4 model is available from early 2021 and bring SUV-inspired styling, latest developments in the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme and interior space designed to be among the best in class.

Revealed earlier this year, the ë-C4 is built on the same platform as the C4 and brings the same size boot as the petrol/diesel-powered C4. It’s part of Citroën’s plans to launch six electrified vehicles this year and is powered by a 136hp electric motor, giving a 0-62mph in 9.7 seconds and a top speed of 93mph when in Sport mode.

The 50kWh lithium-ion battery pack supports CCS rapid charging as standard and an 80% charge will take 30 minutes on a 100kW rapid charger. For regular home charging a Type 2 charging cable is included as standard, allowing a regular 7.4kW charger to reach a 100% charge in seven hours and 30 minutes.

But for those looking for regular petrol or diesel engines, the C4 will offer five engines in three waves of launches, covering three petrols and two diesels.

Both models introduce the latest developments in the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme, such as the Progressive Hydraulic Cushions for suspension and Advanced Comfort seats. Citroën also promises generous interior space, including best-in-class rear knee room.

The ë-C4 is offered in three trims: Sense Plus, Shine and Shine Plus. It includes LED headlights, 18-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors and a 10-inch high-resolution touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside DAB radio. It also features Citroën’s Standard Safety Pack with video-assisted Active Safety Brake, Speed Limit Information, Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Alert and Forward Collision Warning. Other features include head-up display, Citroën Connect Nav with TomTom Live Services, rear parking camera, dashboard tablet holder and electrically folding door mirrors.

Moving up to the Shine trim level, all versions gain Safety Pack Plus with active safety brake with video and radar technology, speed limit information and extended traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and active blind spot detection. They also introduce Keyless Entry & Start, automatic high beam headlights, and front and rear parking sensors while ë-C4 ‘Shine’ models get a heated steering wheel as standard.

Shine Plus completes the range with a premium HiFi system featuring uprated speakers and the addition of a subwoofer, bespoke black interior styling and leather and textile upholstery, and heated front seats. It also gets Highway Driver Assist with semi-autonomous features.
