Leasing brokers can now offer employees a wider choice of vehicles and lower monthly rates following the expansion of BCF Wessex’s Gensen EV Salary Sacrifice platform to support used electric vehicles.

The new functionality enables brokers to produce personalised salary sacrifice quotations for eligible used EVs alongside their existing new vehicle offering. The initial rollout is supported through Lex Autolease’s used vehicle stock and is available immediately to leasing brokers using the platform.

The launch reflects the continued evolution of the salary sacrifice market as increasing numbers of ex-fleet EVs enter the used vehicle market and demand for lower-cost electric motoring continues to grow.

A record 86,943 used battery electric vehicles changed hands during Q1 2026, up 32% on the same period last year, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Meanwhile, Auto Trader reports that enquiries for used EVs have increased by 27% year-on-year, with demand for three- to six-year-old electric vehicles rising by 50%.

BCF Wessex said the shifting market trends create a significant opportunity for leasing brokers and employers to expand the reach of salary sacrifice schemes beyond employees who may have previously considered a brand-new EV beyond their budget.
