By / 4 years ago / UK News / No Comments

Volkswagen has opened UK orders for those who have already pre-booked for its ID.3 electric hatch.

Orders are now open to UK pre-bookers for the ID.3 1ST Edition, enabling those who have already placed their deposit to specify and confirm their car

Initially on sale in the 1st Edition limited-edition model, the ID.3 will launch in the autumn in seven additional variants.

The ID.3 is the Volkswagen Group’s first electric vehicle built on the MEB platform while the 1st Edition is also VW’s first-ever model to be made available for pre-booking; it’s already secured 30,000 pre-orders across Europe. It’s priced at £38,880 OTR (excl. the £3k OLEV grant) and has a WLTP-rated range of 260 miles from its 58kWh battery. It can be charged at up 100kW and offers 204hp along with a 7.3-second 0-62mph time and a top speed of 99mph. It also comes with a battery warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles.

It’s distinguished from future ID.3 variants by exclusive badging and a two-tone honeycomb decal, alongside with bespoke equipment list. Standard features include LED headlights with Matrix Beam and Welcome Light, 19-inch alloy wheels and tinted rear windows, along with a black-coloured roof, side skirts, boot and rear spoiler. Driver assistance systems bring adaptive cruise control, front assist and lane assist and it also features parking sensors, a rear-view camera and a 10-inch infotainment system.

Pre-bookers also get 2,000kWh of free power included with Volkswagen’s We Charge card, said to be worth £500 and the equivalent of around 34 rapid charges.
