Raw Charging powers up West Midlands hub with week of free EV charging

Raw Charging, an electric vehicle charge point operator for the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors, has launched its new ultra-rapid charging hub at McArthurGlen West Midlands with free charging to celebrate the opening.

The site features 10 bays, including two priority bays, with up to 22kW charging and contactless payment

Timed to coincide with the start of the school holidays, the offer enables all EV drivers to charge at no cost between Monday 21 July and Sunday 28 July.

The week-long free charging offer marks the start of Raw’s Connecting Amazing Places summer campaign, aimed at making days out easier, more enjoyable and more accessible for EV drivers across the UK.

The site features 10 bays, including two priority bays, with up to 22kW charging and contactless payment options. Visitors can also enjoy more than 65 designer shops, plus cafés and restaurants at McArthurGlen West Midlands.

The launch of the new site reinforces Raw’s long-term partnership with McArthurGlen Group, which has resulted in the installation of over 385 EV charging bays across the group’s UK and European portfolio. The West Midlands project is the latest and the final UK location to go live.

David Jackson, UK facilities lead and McArthurGlen West Midlands Centre manager, said: “This project is another great example of Raw’s ability to deliver high-impact solutions for everyday destinations. As EV ownership grows, it’s essential that infrastructure grows with it – and this new West Midlands hub is designed to make sustainable driving simple for local communities and visitors alike.”
