A new platform that enables drivers to find and book charging spots or parking near them launches in October.

Built by Helixion Technology, it’s said to be the UK’s first peer-to-peer platform for EV charging and residential parking, and launches with a mission to “make EV charging more accessible, affordable and sustainable.

The UK already has EV charging community platforms that connect charger owners with drivers, such as Co Charger. But Zyyver says it’s the first platform offering peer-to-peer residential parking and EV charging solutions across the UK.

The initiative launches first in Nottingham, London and Birmingham, with plans to expand nationwide. The team is actively onboarding early adopters –  including EV drivers, homeowners, councils and property managers — to co-create a community-powered charging network.

Using Zyyver’s plug-and-play ZyyPod device, any charger becomes smart, trackable, and shareable. The compact, WiFi-enabled device connects between EV chargers and electric vehicles to track real-time charging status and energy usage, sending this data securely to the cloud. With the mobile app, users can monitor charging activity, view usage history and manage devices.

It’s centred around a ‘dual-value’ solution. EV drivers get access to reliable, bookable home chargers or driveways, while homeowners or ‘hosts’ earn tax-free passive income by renting out unused driveways or home EV chargers without needing wall-mounted units.

The new solution has been developed by Helixion Technology; a Nottingham-based firm founded in 2024 and with a mission to “create a seamless and efficient EV charging experience by connecting EV drivers with hosts and businesses across the UK”.

She added: “Our ‘first’ refers to combining a proprietary plug-and-play smart device (ZyyPod) with the platform for metered, remotely controlled sessions, and to offering an integrated dual-mode marketplace — charging + residential parking — in one app. Hosts can list parking-only, and drivers can book parking without charging, or both together; pricing and availability are set by the host.”
