Northgate helps fleets on Drive to Zero with tailored EV Offers

Northgate Vehicle Hire is delivering a range of EV Offers to help make the transition to electric vans easier and more cost-effective for businesses.

The offers are part of Northgate’s Drive to Zero initiative that’s been helping customers for the past three years

The three tailored EV Offers are part of Northgate’s wider Drive to Zero initiative – a long-term commitment that supports businesses at every stage of their electrification journey, backed by its expert Drive to Zero Consultancy.

The choice of three EV Offers is currently available to new and existing customers taking an eligible electric van on hire through Northgate’s 12months+ product.

Offers include home charging, providing up to £1,300 off the supply and installation of a home charger. This enables drivers to charge their vehicles overnight, ensuring they start the day fully powered while benefiting from lower-cost off-peak electricity tariffs and also better supporting long-term battery health compared to frequent use of rapid public chargers.

Northgate is also supporting workplace charging, providing up to £1,300 off the cost of charger installation at business premises. This allows fleet vehicles to be charged while parked onsite, reducing reliance on more expensive public infrastructure and improving operational efficiency while also supporting a business’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments.

Northgate’s third EV Offer delivers free one-to-one driver training for drivers who are new to EVs. This half-day session is designed to boost confidence and familiarity with electric vehicles, from charging processes to energy-efficient driving techniques, helping drivers to maximise range while reducing costs and extending battery life over time.

These EV Offers are designed to give businesses the flexibility to choose the right support, depending on their fleet setup and electrification goals, and further strengthen Northgate’s support for fleet decarbonisation.

Joshua Hooper, head of product & specialist sales at Northgate Vehicle Hire, said: “Going electric isn’t just about vehicles – it’s about having the right infrastructure, knowledge and support in place. Our EV Offers are practical solutions that help businesses overcome the most common barriers to electrification. It forms a critical part of our overarching Drive to Zero initiative, allowing us to support customers at every stage of their net zero journey.”
